Findings. While windspeed (mph) appears to increase with decreasing latitudes in the northern hemisphere, the relationship is not signifigant (n=385; slope = 0.03; r^2 = 0.01; p-value=0.0508).

The relationship between windspeed (mph) and latitude is also not significant in the southern hemisphere (n=185; slope = -0.04; r^2 = 0.011; p-value=0.150)
